This ½ day seminar free of charge aims to introduces practising engineers and designers to the new subject of digitally controlled power supplies. The seminar begins with a summary of the benefits and drawbacks of digital control in this field, followed by a detailed examination of digital PWM generation to meet the requirements of various switching power supply topologies. Finally, a brief introduction to digital control theory is provided using a DC buck controller as an example. The seminar will be of interest to analogue electronics engineers who are investigating the benefits of digital control. |
