Development Boards

COBRA5329-AD
The COBRA5329KIT allows quick evaluation of the Freescale MCF5329 processor and the components surrounding it. For more flexible use of the COBRA kit, National Semiconductor developed an "Analog Input Board" (AIB) that allows the user to interface analog signals to the board. A two-channel 12-bit ADC with 1MSPS sampling rate is used with preamplifiers that are user configurable. An area for additional circuitry is provided.

COBRA5329KIT
This reference board and Linux software environment has been developed in a joint project undertaken by senTec Elektronik and emlix, which was commissioned by Freescale Semiconductor, National Semiconductor and EBV Elektronik. In addition to the MCF5329 microprocessor, which is equipped with extensive peripherals, the board also contains National Semiconductor's DP83848 Ethernet PHY module as well as appropriate flash memories and SRAM-ICs. The application board is designed for Power over Ethernet operation at 10/100 Mbit/s (National LM5072).

ChameleonARM
ChameleonARM is a reference platform with installed demo software showing both the processor power within the ARM7 environment, as well as, the communication interfaces such as Ethernet (10/100 Mbits/s), USB and CAN. The board includes cable (RS232, USB, Ethernet), as well as, Power supply.

DB1270-144
This MAX II development board is a powerful, yet low-cost hardware platform for a wide range of price-sensitive applications featuring the EPM1270 CPLD in a 144-pin package. The board is also available with a ByteBaster II download cable (Part No.: DB1270-144/BB2;14).

DB1C6-144
This Cyclone development board is a powerful, yet low-cost hardware platform for a wide range of price-sensitive applications featuring the EP1C6 FPGA in a 144-pin package. The board is also available with a ByteBaster II download cable (Part No.: DB1C6-144/BB2;14).

DB2C5-144
The DB2C5-144 development board is based on a Cyclone™ II FPGA and offers a simple entry point into the current FPGA technology from Altera®. The EP2C5T144C8 device can be configured via the JTGA interface. Three LVDS input channels and output channels are available for high-speed communication with other modules. The available I/O pins are connected with plugs on the bottom side of the board. The board is also available with a ByteBaster™ II download cable (Part No.: DB2C5-144/BB2;14).

DBASI ASI/SDI I/O Module
The DBASI Board is designed to mount on an Altera© NIOS Development Board DK-NIOS-2C35N. It provides switchable inputs and outputs for DVB-ASI (Digital Video Broadcast-Asynchronous Serial Interface) and SDI (Serial digital interface) signals.

DBAVIO Analog Video Input Output Module
The DBAVIO Board is designed to mount on an Altera NIOS Development Board DK-NIOS-2C35N or any other with Altera Santa Cruz Connector. It provides Inputs and Outputs for Analog Video (e.g. Composite, RGB, VGA).

DBMAXLED
The DBMAXLED Board is designed to show that one single Altera® CPLD can drive a huge amount of PWM Channels. The Reference Design uses one PWM output for each LED Color, so 3 PWM Outputs are required for one RGB-LED. The Reference Board is equipped with a array of 5x5 LEDs, in total 75 PWM channels to control the entire colour range. For LED control, this Reference Board uses a MAXR II EPM1270 CPLD that provides 1270 logic elements.

EBV-BDK-2C35
The new broadcast development kit is based on Altera's Nios II embedded processor and low-cost Cyclone II FPGA family. Developed by EBV, the kit includes basic A/V and IT interface building blocks required to build professional broadcast systems on an FPGA platform while offering extensive customisation options via a comprehensive range of add-on cards. The kit provides a complete broadcast system design framework by offering in one package Altera's Video and Image Processing Suite - which offers a wide selection of IP building blocks such as a colour space converter, chroma resampler, gamma corrector, 2D FIR & median filter, alpha blending mixer, scaler and de-interlacer - the Nios II Development Kit, Cyclone II Edition, and add-on cards.

EBV-DBF-3C120
The DBF3C120 is a Cyclone?? III FGPA-based reference design platform that brings enhanced design flexibility to a broad range of applications requiring high processing power combined with high-level integration. As part of the EBV SnakeBytes reference design, the DBF3C120 complements the Altera?? Stratix?? II FPGA-based DBF2S30 board which is already part of the SnakeBytes family.

FalconEye
The FalconEye reference design platform was developed in collaboration between Avago Technologies, Fairchild Semiconductor, Freescale Semiconductor, STMicroelectronics and EBV. The modular construction of the FalconEye board with PFC is used for the electronic control and/or regulation of brushless synchronous and asynchronous motors. FalconEye offers developers enormous potential, ranging from huge energy savings to high-precision control options and significant improvements in EMC behaviour.

HCPL-314J-EVAL
Evaluation board with the HCPL-314J optodriver for IGBTs, similar to HCPL-316J-EVAL board but lower cost. The board contains two independent IGBTs that can be set up in a halfbridge, two-transistor forward or a stepdown topology. The onboard logic regulates the deadtimes and the overcurrent protection.

HCPL-800J
The HCPL-800J AFE reference design provides the complete interface function between the powerline and a Motorola DSP56F801 hybrid controller running powerline communication software available from Motorola. The AFE circuit is primarily designed for a FSK modem operating on frequencies 105/115 Khz however it may also be easily modified for use with other frequencies up to a maximum of 500Khz. Since dangerously high voltages are present on the AFE application board, it is strongly recommendation to enclose the AFE board into an insulated enclosure before connecting to main's voltages.

HPE_mini
The HPEmini (Hardware Prototyping & Evaluation) is a low-cost development platform featuring an Altera CycloneTM II FPGA. The software packes included provides all functions to load a design into the FPGA.

MercuryCode
The EBV MercuryCode reference design platform is based on the Altera® Cyclone® III FPGA technology and is dedicated to industrial communications. The board is designed specifically for the use of the Nios® II processor and the Microsoft .NET Framework supporting a number of industrial I/O standards such as CAN, RS485, RS232 and 24 V I/O for direct connection to the industrial automation world. MercuryCode features an Altera EP3C40 device and is equipped with several I/O transceivers, an LVDS interface for direct TFT connection, a navigation key, buttons, LEDs and a 2 digit seven segment display. Several IP-Cores are delivered with the board like Ethernet MAC and CAN Controller (Eval). The board is also available with a USB-Blaster™ and NIOS® II license (Part No.: DBC3C40IPN-USBB;20).
