The DBMAXLED Board is designed to show that one single Altera® CPLD can drive a huge amount of PWM Channels. The Reference Design uses one PWM output for each LED Color, so 3 PWM Outputs are required for one RGB-LED. The Reference Board is equipped with a array of 5x5 LEDs, in total 75 PWM channels to control the entire colour range. For LED control, this Reference Board uses a MAXR II EPM1270 CPLD that provides 1270 logic elements. |
