Arria GX is the fourth generation of FPGAs with integrated transceiver technology and the first low-cost, protocol-optimized transceiver FPGA family from Altera®. This product family will consist of five devices, the smallest device providing 4 Transceiver Channels and the largest device offering 12 Transceiver Channels.

Arria GX devices support the following protocols and data rates:

• PCI Express x1 and x4
• Gigabit Ethernet
• Serial RapidIO x1 and x4 @ 1.25 and 2.5 Gbps

The Arria GX device family is supported by both the web edition and the subscription
version 7.1 of the Quartus® II software.

An Arria GX development kit will be available in the 3rd quarter 2007, first component samples will be available in the 2nd quarter 2007.
