Avago Technologies enters high power LED market with first power LED package

Avago Technologies’ new InGaN 1W high power LED is an easy-to-use high flux output SMT package. It is designed to be compatible with the industry standard IR solder reflow process which makes for easy assembly. It has a moisture sensitivity level of 2a, placing it among the best in the high power LED package market. With a floor life of up to four weeks (@30°C and not more than 60% relative humidity), customers have more flexibility in planning their production schedules.  With an exposed die-attach pad design, heat easily flows out of the LED region thereby achieving a very low package thermal resistance of 10°C/W. Coupled with a heat and UV-resistant silicone encapsulant, the LED is well-protected to provide a trouble-free long operating life. A slim package profile and a smooth radiation pattern make the ASMT-Mx00 ideal for many solid state lighting applications.

  • Lead-free and is RoHS compliant
