The ADJD-MJ51 module featuring direct emission and the ADJD-MJ61 featuring lateral emission are the first plug&play 24W high-power RGB multi-chip LED modules housed inside a metal package which also serves as an optimum means of heat discharge. The LED strings are individually operable, enabling interplay of virtually any 24 Watt RGB LED modules conceivable colour combinations. All the heat generated by the LEDs can be discharged to an external heat sink. The thermal resistance for this is 2 K/W. As the LED chips are configured in series, the absolute forward voltage is high and the operating current low. Consequently these modules need special drivers, available from National Semiconductor and Texas Instruments among others.

10.5 and 3.5 Watt warm white and cold white LED modules
The ADJD-xDx1 models featuring direct emission were developed specially for lighting applications which produce only white light in very high or medium intensity. The above properties and specifications of the RGB LED modules with regard to metal packages, heat discharge, thermal resistance, plug&play capabilities and driver solutions also apply without exception to these white LED modules. They additionally feature light intensities of (typically) 500 lm (10.5 W cold white) and 350 lm (10.5 W warm white) respectively. For more specifications refer to the following table:
