Consolidated Power on one Chip (ISL6441 & ISL6443A)

ISL6441 and ISL6443A are chip solutions combining dual downward switching controllers and LDO controllers. With a high input voltage range, they are used to operate external FETs. The 180-degree phase shift of the two PWM controllers provides for a uniform input current. It is possible to synchronise multiple switching controllers. Independent monitoring inputs permit controlled power-up and powerdown. The additional linear controller offers the facility to continue generating a standby voltage with low closed-circuit current when PWM controllers are switched off, for example. Applications are to be found in modems or routers, DSPs, ASICs, FPGAs, set-top boxes and elsewhere in the telecommunications field.
