Well known as a standard for connecting mobile devices to the Internet, WLAN modules are seeing growing popularity in industrial applications. The modules support both 802.11b and 802.11g protocols with raw data rates of 11 and 54 Mbps respectively, making them useful in applications where large amounts of data need to be moved.
These WLAN modules have the same footprint and interface layout as the OEMSPA312/332 Bluetooth modules, allowing the same end product to address both standards.
