With the next FPGA generation, EBV Elektronik in conjunction with Altera, is launching the new MercuryCode reference board, as the first generation board providing ‘only’ 20,000 logic elements had reached the limits of its processing capacity. Besides, the market was also crying out for new functions. Within its core element, the EP3C40-type FPGA, MercuryCode has doubled the resources to 40,000 logic elements. The EP3C40 is a member of the latest Cyclone III family from Altera.
EBV Elektronik has implemented a Nios® processor in the FPGA, as well as, various industrial drivers (for industry standard interfaces) that come with an appropriate driver/software package. MercuryCode is available in three variants: the board itself for EUR 579.00 and complete kits. In addition to the board, one kit also includes the licence for the Nios IP core and the programming adapter known as the USB-Blaster™. The total price of this kit is EUR 725.00. Furthermore, EBV offers a kit version with a 8.4" TFT screen for EUR 995.00. All products are available from EBV. The MercuryCode board is certified in accordance with CE, RoHS and WEEE.
